OUR PROJECTS

Lake County NAACP is working for the betterment of our community:

  • Awarding college scholarships to qualifying Lake County High School Seniors annually
  • Annual Freedom Fund Banquet  for more than 50 years
    • ​Provides recognition to Lake County high school students being awarded college scholarships
    • Honors recipients of annual Community Impact Award, Community Public Safety & Service Award, Community Education & Legal Award, and the Community Medical Award
    • Provides networking and community building opportunities
    • Primary event for  fund raising for future Scholarships
  • Partnering with County Prosecuting Attorney Charles Coulson in chairing  'Begin the Conversation' 
    • This is a  forum dedicated to building relationships, achieving trust, educating the community and partnering with others to identify and implement practical solutions
  • Building Youth Chapter for Lake County Ohio NAACP
  • Sponsoring Lake County Annual Juneteenth Celebration
  • Building relationships with other Lake County organizations to assist with housing, educational and economic issues in our community.

 

   2023 Scholarship Application Cycle Closed  on                                        April 28, 2023
