OUR PROJECTS
Lake County NAACP is working for the betterment of our community:
- Annually awarding college scholarships to deserving minority youth
- Holding the Annual Freedom Fund Banquet for more than 50 years
- Provides recognition to Lake County high school students being awarded college scholarships
- Honors recipients of annual Community Impact Award, Community Public Safety & Service Award, Community Education & Legal Award, and the Community Medical Award
- Provides networking and community building opportunities
- Primary event for fund raising for future Scholarships
- Partnering with County Prosecuting Attorney Charles Coulson in chairing 'Begin the Conversation'
- This is a forum dedicated to building relationships, achieving trust, educating the community and partnering with others to identify and implement practical solutions
- Building Youth Chapter for Lake County Ohio NAACP
- Partnering with the City of Painesville for the annual Juneteenth celebration
- Building relationships with other Lake County organizations to assist with housing, educational and economic issues in our community.
